I met my partner Gregg Coffin in 1995 and together we have made a beautiful life together with our two cats Wilbur and Barrymore. I have owned and operated several businesses and I currently own and run Graphic Focus, a print consulting firm. Gregg is a composer and playwright whose rock musical Convenience and his off-Broadway hit Five Course Love have appeared at theatres all over the United States and his compositions have earned him the Dora Award (the Canadian Tony Award).

Gregg was a professional actor for many years; living the life of an artist was all he had ever known. He was the first person I'd ever met whose whole life was integrated. He was the same person at home, at work and at play and all of the parts of his life were extensions of who he was as a man. It took me years to understand that everything he did was an act of creativity and that often times while he was folding clothes or doing the dishes or going for a walk, he was creating and mulling. It is pretty hard to live with someone that creative and not be drawn into the creative process, which is what happened. I know I will never achieve full mastery of painting, but the process has taught me a great deal about painting for the sake of painting and not for how the final painting turns out.
